| WHY USE A SHORTER EAR CANDLE? An ear candle is an ear candle, its not rocket science. I learned how to make basic ear candles like the Amish do. However, I've altered the production to fit my concerns, so the finished product, which you order from me, is the same product I use on my family, friends and clients. I am a Licensed Massage Therapist and Natural Health Consultant who has been ear candling since the 90's. In the beginning, I purchased many variations of ear candles and was frustrated with the RISKS. Why? Because taller candles tend to: 1. Collapse on themselves 2. Break off and fall on exposed hair and skin, causing burns 3. Need more attention to manage and trim as it burns 4. Deliver more candle wax to the ear canal We wrap our ear candles using the same amount of fabric as most our competitors, but we wrap them about an inch or more shorter (aprox. 9 inches total length) to avoid the problems listed above. I was also annoyed with the discovery of ear candle marketing hype! Here are a few of my favorites taken directly from the websites: "Our longer candle creates the 'chimney effect', drawing out more debris as the flame burns." [According to this, if I started a fire on the top of my chimney, the birds and trees would be sucked into my house and it would be a mess. Ear Candles DO NOT suck, draw, wick, vacuum, "chimney effect" or "vigorously inhale" ear wax out of the ear. Click here for more info on the paraffin scam] "These ear cones are aerodynamically designed utilizing heat and vacuum intensities. . . ." [Translation: "We wrap the fabric on a cone shaped mold and dip it into hot wax."] ". . .wrapped counter clockwise to follow the natural rotational direction of a vortex (think tornado). This wrap is one that is crafted by a left handed person. Most other brands spiral clockwise which works against the vortex. Also, our fabric is tensioned wrapped to insure air tight seams." [See translation above. However, if you're left-handed and need a job. . . ] "Our Burn Time is 15-17 minutes per candle. Most other candles are 7-10 minutes or even less. That means our candles last 50% - 300% longer than others. When you work out how many candles you need for a one hour session, our candles are the lowest price around." 8/18/08 The owner of this quote wishes to be credited for their words. Thank you Stephanie Relfe www.relfe.com [This company is the ONLY one who states on their copyrighted instructions that you need 10 or more ear candles per session!!! NO Way! By their calculations I have to ask; "How do you fit 21/2 hours of ear candling into 1 hour?" ] "Every pair has been multiple dipped to ensure a longer cleansing." [More wax means more melting down the candle and into your ear.] "These are the Original Biosun Hopi Ear candles that are made to the original Hopi Indian recipe in Germany." [And I thought the Hopi Indians were from Arizona?!?! According to the International Ear Candling Conference held in Sweden last year, the Hopi Indians have no idea what recipe Biosun is talking about.] ______________________________________________________ Today, you get the benefits of over 10 years experience and improvement according to the way I candle my own family. This is Tommy in OKC.
I ordered ear candles 10 days or so
ago. I am very impressed with the way
they have worked in my bad ear.
There is nothing wrong with the texture
at all. As a kid, I always had ear
infections and it lead up to this---30
years ago, I had a mastoid operation,
and they found a tumor, etc. The Dr.
didn't tell me it would leave a small
cave in my head so to speak. Anyhow
earwax builds up very fast and I
become deaf. My hearing sucks.
Then comes the infections months
later if wax is not removed. I want to
thank you for making them affordable
to me. The health store charges way
too much for one candle. They really
don't care about people. They just
want the money. My ear was really
bad this time. I just wanted to take the
time and say THANK YOU for the
candles. It means a lot to me. Only
thing is I have to listen to my wife now.
I think I can still fake it and say what?
